Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, & Nobody

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

A review on “AJAX and PHP: Building Responsive Web Applications”

A few weeks back, I received a review copy of the book AJAX and PHP: Building Responsive Web Applications by Packt Publishing. After going through it and finding thats its a good one, I decided to write a review on it. So, I sat today and wrote a few lines about it in Amazon. Here is an excerpt from the review:

Solid package bundled with great AJAX and PHP code

“After telling you everything you need to boost your own site with AJAX, they start to tell you how you can avail different AJAX functionalities in your site – Form Validation, Auto complete, Real-time Charting, Drag-n-drop, and so on. These are divided in the rest of the book in chapters. Each of them has a real-life working example that can make you think “Oh man!! I was looking for this to be in my site!!!” Although it’s more code than theory, you won’t loose the path as they start the chapters with a problem-solving manner and after showing the code, explain them step-by-step.”

Somewhere in… Blog

Today we released the long waited Somewhere in… Blog ! Its a community blog totally based on Bangla language. You can write posts in bangla, add categories in bangla, tag in bangla, search in bangla, and so on !!!

Being the lead developer of the system, I always emphasized to make the system damn easy for all kinds of users. We managed to place the admin panel of the system right into the normal pages, that means, the user doesnt need to move to a seperate admin panel to manage her posts, categories, etc.

Thanks goes to Hasin bhai for his excellent contribution in the bangla writing system, to Hasan and Misho bhai for the on-spot editing functions in Javascript, to Arild for the blog design, to Deborah apa, Didar bhai, Shahana apa for their excellent support throughout the time, and to everybody out there for whom we built this.

I hope all our efforts will be worth when we’ll see people are using this system to express their thoughts, after all thats why we actually started this !

Hello world!

How many times I have started blogging and left it after being active for some days ? Well, everybody around me is angry with me for this crazy behaviour of myself. Perhaps I dont get that much time for blogging, perhaps I am not that organized either. But, I will start again, lets see if I can keep my promise to my near and dear ones.

And another thing is, I love WordPress. I have tested a lot of blogs and cms, but somehow WP is the one that I like most. Is it becauz it has so good internal system for programmer ? Or for its vast collection of Plugin and Theme ? Well, I dont know, but I like it.

And I am loving this new version a LOT !!!

Take care everybody
